Customers praised this robotic mower's LiDAR navigation, easy setup, and "great value for money." Many noted "excellent" performance and intelligent obstacle avoidance. Amazing mower for my garden. Setup was easy and problems are fixed fast with new updates. The only less positive point is the customer service. But hopefully this will get better in the future.
The robot mows great,it leaves those lovely stripes on the grass which are extremely pleasent to see. It had some issues with getting its location right at first, but with the firmware update those problems were reduced significantly (not all of them, but for the most part). I have not been cutting grass since 3 weeks, and Just for that i'm happy
This is my first robotic lawnmower – and of course, I highly recommend it!
Easy installation – I went with manual mapping because I have a lot of small trees and my garden isn't fully finished yet.
Whisper quiet – you can’t hear it moving at all.
The "safety key" is a mystery – I thought I was supposed to remove it after installation to prevent theft, but that’s not how it works. I haven't found any information explaining what it’s actually for.
Object avoidance is decent, but it struggles with smaller trees and shrubs, so you’ll need to protect them. It often bumps into them, usually while turning – it’s like it "forgets" the plant is right there. (I haven't noticed it hitting anything while driving straight, though).
Performance: Mowing time is about 1 hour per 100 m², with 1 hour of charging.
Rough terrain: My lawn is still young and a bit bumpy. It handles the mowing well, though it occasionally misses some spots – I usually have to run it twice to get a perfectly even cut.
Smart Home: Home Assistant integration would be a dream. Beyond just battery status or work mode, I’d love to see the map and its live position. It would be awesome to have a dashboard with a moving mower icon.
The app is okay, but:
Zone management needs improvement. Currently, you can only create rectangular zones. I’d love the ability to draw polygons or define zones by manually driving the robot around.
I know no one offers this yet, but I’d love to see the actual map generated by the LiDAR – seeing it update live would be even better! ;)
A PC version of the app would be very handy. Setting zones and editing maps is much easier on a larger screen than on a phone.
I initially thought it supported two separate maps, but it seems like it doesn’t.
Small and compact device with great performance. The LIDAR technology makes the lawnmower get closer to the obstacles and do a more precise cutting. The design makes the cleaning process much more easier than in the Genie model, due to its flat bottom.
Hello, I am very happy with the M5 LiDAR. Although I have a challenging terrain, there is still room for improvement. On the first run he got stuck 5 times. After creating some no-go zones, I can let him run now autonomous and he’s doing great. Still sometimes when he drives backwards, he is not recognizing objects and drives against the fence, but he is not getting stuck. I would wish to have the function to let him cross mow to have an even better result. I have that function on my hover, I believe this could be done with a software upgrade. Best regards Jürgen
Has used Anthbot M5 LiDAR little more then one week, it was up and made the first mowing tour within 20 min.
It was almost like magic.. Anthbot is introducing a high tech mower with many features that marks the direction what Anthbot vision is.
Looking forward to see what functionality will come in future firmware upgrade.
There is always things to improve.. and I hope to be able with my data from my mower and others it will help Anthbot to improve and develop new functionality to all of us 🤗
Mapping is fast and generally accurate, with the mower quickly learning the shape of the garden and returning reliably to the charging station under normal conditions. The ability to edit boundaries, add no‑go zones, and define pathways between areas directly in the app is a real plus for tuning coverage and edge behavior.[youtube +2]
However, in practice the mower occasionally drives outside the mapped boundary, showing “out of map / out of boundary” or similar errors, especially near transitions (slopes, paths, or ambiguous edges). This can leave parts of the lawn unmowed or cause the robot to stop mid‑task until it is physically moved back into the mapped zone, which reduces the “set‑and‑forget” experience.[facebook +1]
Connectivity and limitations
A notable limitation is that my unit did not support 4G connectivity, despite the model being listed in some regions with 4G capability. Without a stable 4G or equivalent data connection, remote monitoring, over‑the‑air updates, and some advanced features via the app are either unavailable or significantly less reliable.
I was looking for a new, smart robot mower for a 320 m² lawn to replace my old one, which had been in use for 5 years and 3,000 hours (boundary wire, no rain sensor, no smart features, 3 blades, frequent getting stuck). Ordered on March 2, arrived on April 28; delivery was slow due to the pre-order (I think).
Installation and customization were quick, with many convenient settings. The experience with the first mowing was positive. In terms of value for money, this mower is among the best on the market.
Garage is required, but it is unreasonably expensive. I have no experience with customer service, but customer support is very important for a product like this.
The robot can drive and mow when updated
I was looking for a robot able to work in 2 distant area with narrow passage of 70cm, he is right solution! Easy to setup, tested the first mont, suggested!

I’ve been using the Anthbot M5 LiDAR for a short time now and I’m really happy with it. The navigation is accurate, the mowing pattern is clean and efficient, and the LiDAR system works surprisingly well even around obstacles and uneven areas. Setup was straightforward, and the app is easy to use. It saves a lot of time and keeps the lawn looking consistently neat. Overall, a great robotic mower for the price.
PROS:
- excellent LiDAR navigation: I wanted to wait for 1 month of regular mowing before writing this review to be absolutely sure of the results. I have a small yard but with a complicated layout. This robot completely exceeded my expectations. It manages to get into tight spaces where I didn't think it would fit. I still need to tweak the boundary map a little bit, but I am confident it will be perfect in the end. Overall, the cutting and navigation performance is 9.5/10.
- great value for money (the robot itself): The hardware and software are excellent, especially after the latest firmware updates that fixed the minor bugs. You get technology that costs twice as much with other premium brands.
CONS (The pricing strategy for accessories):
- extremely expensive accessories: While the robot's price is great, Anthbot's strategy for accessories is very disappointing. Asking 169 Euros for a simple piece of plastic that serves as a garage/roof is completely exaggerated.
- overpriced consumables: The original blades are also way too expensive. I understand that the manufacturer wants to recover their R&D investment through the accessory ecosystem, but this strategy might backfire. Most users will easily switch to compatible third-party options (like Husqvarna blades), and Anthbot will lose customers in the long run.
Verdict: I highly recommend the robot for its efficiency in complex spaces, but I advise future buyers to look for third-party alternatives for blades and garages. The robot itself deserves 5 stars, but the accessory pricing pulls the brand down.
LIKE A NEW CAR IT WILL TAKE TIME TO KNOW ALL THE FUNCTIONS. MY FRONT LAWN IS IS 260 M2 AND TAKES ABOU 2.5 HOURS WITH RECHARGING. I RUN THE LAWNMOWER TWICE PER WEEK ONCE AT O% AND THEN AT 90%. IT WILL TAKR SEVERAL WEEKS UNTIL ALL THE OLD GRASS IS GONE.

Po pierwszych 2 tygodniach testów jestem zadowolony z pracy robota.
Die Einrichtung ist wirklich wie beschrieben in wenigen Minuten erledigt.
Das Automatische Kartieren funktioniert, aber es wird sehr viel Abstand zum Rand gehalten.
Das Manuelle Kartieren geht auch recht einfach, aber beim Mähen wieder sehr viel Abstand zum Rand. Es wird beim Mähen 35 cm von Wänden gewendet somit bleibt sehr viel Gras stehen und beim Randmähen fährt der Mäher zwischen dem Rest. Mir Innenecken hat der Mäher große Probleme, hier lästert sehr viel stehen.
Was auch nicht gut funktioniert, ist das Mähen um die Ladestadion, hier wird mit 20cm Abstand von der Stadion gemäht, so wird es in der Animation nicht gezeigt. Es macht auch keinen Unterschied ob mit oder ohne Dach. Das Mähen an überfahrbaren Rändern funktioniert gut.
Es wäre schön wenn der Mäher beim manuellen Mähen der vergessenen Reste diese Flächen speichern würde.

Received and installed immediately. Unfortunately, it didn't work in my garden right away. I contacted customer service and received a response and a software update within a few hours. From now on, it works great. No wires, just walk around for 3 minutes and it's ready for use. From now on, it makes a round through my garden every day and my grass looks well-maintained. In short, highly recommended.
