FAQs
How does a robot lawn mower work?

A robot lawn mower automatically cuts grass within a defined mowing area using its navigation system, sensors and scheduling logic. Depending on the model, that navigation can rely on RTK, LiDAR, AI vision or a boundary wire setup.

Do all robot lawn mowers need boundary wire?

No. ANTHBOT offers both wire-free robot lawn mowers and a boundary wire model. Wire-free models reduce setup time, use technologies such as RTK, LiDAR, or AI-assisted vision to create or manage mowing zones digitally, while boundary wire mowing can still be a practical option for users who prefer a fixed physical layout.

What is the difference between RTK, LiDAR and boundary wire navigation?

RTK navigation is generally best suited to open lawns where stable positioning can support precise route planning. LiDAR-based navigation is often a better fit for enclosed, shaded, or more complex gardens because it relies more on environmental scanning. Boundary-wire navigation uses a physical wire to define the mowing area and can still be a practical solution for users who want a fixed perimeter.

Can robot lawn mowers handle narrow passages and tight corners?

Yes. Narrow passages, tighter corners, and more irregular lawn edges usually require more precise mapping, better obstacle handling, and a body shape that can move more easily through confined spaces. ANTHBOT compact M-series and selected LiDAR models are perfectly designed to move more confidently through tighter layouts and hidden corners.

Can a robot lawn mower collect grass clippings?

Usually, standard robot lawn mowers focus on mowing and mulching, so fine clippings stay on the lawn and can act as natural nutrients. But if you prefer a tidier finish, selected N series 4-in-1 robot mowers can mow, mulch, collect clippings, and even sweep leaves all in one.

Is it hard to install a robotic lawn mower?

Not necessarily. ANTHBOT’s wire-free M5 and M9 can be ready in around 10 minutes, while the M5 LiDAR offer drop-and-mow convenience in as little as 3 minutes.

What maintenance does a robot lawn mower need?

Robot lawn mowers are generally low-maintenance, but regular upkeep still matters. Basic care usually includes cleaning the deck and wheels, checking blades for wear, and replacing parts such as blades or batteries when needed. ANTHBOT also offers dedicated accessories and replacement parts to support routine maintenance over time.
